Auditions:
In the past auditions for Opera Vivente were held in early spring. Interested singers should submit a headshot, resume, CD recording if available, and a $20 application fee to Opera Vivente, 811 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. Auditioners should be prepared to sing two arias one of which must be in English. Translations are acceptable. Auditioners are also encouraged to sing arias from the season's repertoire or of comparable vocal style.
Bel Cantanti is an opera company within the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area devoted to giving performance experience to both seasoned and aspiring professionals.
AUDITIONS! Bel Cantanti welcomes singers to audition for principal and chorus parts in the upcoming productions. Accepted singers receive highly professional vocal coaching and full training in role preparation, musical interpretation and diction. Bel Cantanti provides a unique opportunity for young singers to perform a complete operatic role in friendly and safe environment. Experienced professionals will have one of a kind chance to enhance their repertoire by learning a new role or shaping up a role that they have not performed recently. Auditions
In the past auditions were held in late spring. You must schedule your audition in advance by contacting Andrew Chugg via e-mail at Andrew.Chugg@vaopera.org or phone at 757.627.9545 ext. 3325.
Please prepare one aria or art song (foreign language preferred). We will provide an accompanist for your audition. Complete details will be provided once you’ve been scheduled.

The Savoyards holds a unique place in the Washington area’s cultural scene as the only professional performing arts organization strictly devoted to the performance of comic and light opera, operetta, and musical theatre.
Remembering its roots as a Gilbert and Sullivan company, it mounts at least one of their popular light operas each season.

Riverbend Opera Company is a singers' collaborative, formed in 2009. They are a Virginia non-profit corporation, operating exclusively to bring professional opera productions to performance in the DC area. The Victorian Lyric Opera Company, based in Rockville, is primarily devoted to authentic productions of the comic operas of Gilbert & Sullivan and other operettas of that era, and encourages the promotion of these evergreen works of the Musical Theater.
